OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Insurance Department’s “Tax Tips for Tornado Survivors” consumer forum scheduled for Tuesday evening has been postponed due to inclement weather. The forum will be rescheduled at a later date.
“While we feel that the information scheduled to be presented this evening is very important for Oklahoma tornado victims, the safety of our residents is equally as important,” said Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner John D. Doak. “We want residents to be safe and stay off the roads tonight, if possible.”
The rescheduled date for the forum, co-hosted by the Moore Public Library, will be released as soon as possible. Tornado survivors are also encouraged to call Consumer Assistance at 1-800-522-0071 for help with insurance claims.
